While Honda does offer a wide range of motorcycles in India, its portfolio still misses out on quite a few models. One such popular bike sold internationally is the Honda CB150R, which has just received quite a few upgrades.
The 2021 CB150R Streetfire sports LED lights all around. Its handlebar has been tapered a bit to enhance rider comfort. The LCD instrument console has also received a thorough makeover. It gets a gear position indicator, speedometer, odometer, rev counter and a fuel level bar.
Powering the bike is a liquid-cooled 149cc single-cylinder motor rated at 16.3PS and 13.7Nm, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Moreover, the fuel tank along with the shrouds have been redesigned and it has a capacity of 12 litres. The Special edition of the Honda CB150R Streetfire gets a belly guard as well.
One of the most prominent updates for the 2021 model comes in the form of the 37mm Showa USD fork. The rear unit is the same pro-link monoshock. Its braking hardware is pretty sober and comprises a front and rear disc.
Under the special edition, the bike gets three paint schemes: Furry Matte Red, Raptor Matte Black and Armoured Matte Grey. On the other hand, the standard version is only available in two colours: Stinger Red Black and Macho Black.
In Indonesia, the 2021 Honda CB150R Streetfire base model retails at IDR 2,97,00,000 (approximately Rs 1.51 lakh) whereas the special edition costs IDR 3,07,00,000 ( approximately Rs 1.56 lakh). Honda India hasn’t expressed any desires to bring the bike to India but the brand is working on a 200cc ADV for the country.
